Becoming a parent is exciting, but it also means adapting to a significant life-change.
It's easy to feel unprepared, overwhelmed, and even frightened. Parenting a child with special needs can be even more
overwhelming and frightening. Though there have been many stressful moments, I must admit that parenting my child
has been the single most rewarding experience of my life.
I created this web site to share my experiences (mostly
positive) with other parents and provide some helpful resources parents may utilize to enhance the lives of their children
with special needs.
My parenting philosophy...
I trust God, and I acknowlede Him in all of my ways. I constantly pray for my son and for God to guide
me as I make decisions on my son's behalf.
Parenting is about developing a loving and nurturing relationship between you and your child. As parents, we strive to
give our children the tools they need to live healthy, productive lives.
